Numerous woodworking projects require some type of solid wood edge banding or molding. Traditionally, applying wood edge banding/molding required bulky, awkward, and expensive clamps. Applying edge banding or molding could not be easier using these spring edge banding clamps. To use, simply open the spring clamps, stretch the 1-3/8-inch-wide rubber band over your banding/molding and release. Your banding/molding will now be held firmly in place while glue dries. . The stretchy 1-3/8-inch-wide rubber band conforms to any profile and will not mar even the most delicate molding. . Spring clamps are made from rigid, high-strength nylon and fiberglass reinforced plastic. . Oversize 2-inch x 1-1/2-inch silicone rubber clamp pads have a non-marring and no-slip gripping surface that won’t dent delicate workpieces and prevents the clamps from slipping. When dust builds up on the pads, simply wipe them down and they’re as good as new. Dried glue will not stick to either the pads or rubber band and pops right off for easy clean up. . The jaws pivot 25 degrees in either direction allowing the pads to conform to odd-shaped workpieces and keep them in full contact with your worksurface. . Edge banding and molding up to 1-1/2 inch wide and ¾ inch thick can be applied using these clamps. . Overall size is 8 inches long x 4 inches wide. Maximum jaw opening: 2-1/4 inches. Throat depth: (tip of pad to jaw pivot point: 3-1/4 inches.
